Sayantani Ghosh is often described as the Bipasha Basu of television. Born and brought up in Kolkata, Sayantani won the Miss Calcutta contest and that brought her under the spot light. Later on, she ventured into Bengali films. Sayantani happened to act with Bengali film superstar Prasenjit. She made her acting debut on television with Kumkum in 2002. After Kumkum, Sayantani was picked to play the lead in Sahara One’s Ghar Ek Sapna. Later, she bagged another leading role in Aroona Irani’s Naagin in 2007. Sayantani showed us her funnier side in Comedy Circus 2 where she was paired with comedian Kuldeep Dubey. She showed her tremendous dancing skills in Zee TV’s reality show Ek Se Badhkar Ek. She was also briefly seen making an appearance in Ronit Roy’s much acclaimed show Adaalat, Sabki Laadli Bebo on Star Plus and Crime Patrol on Sony TV. She will yet again play the role of a naagin in Mrs. Kaushik Ki Paanch Bahuyein.
