Shweta Tiwari completed her schooling from St. Isabel in Mumbai. She finished her graduation from Burhanis College in Mazegaon. At the age of 12 years, Shweta Tiwari worked in a travel agency and she used to get 500 rupees per month. In the year 1998, this actress got married to Raja Choudhary, her co star of Bhojpuri movies. She has a daughter named Palak. However, she separated from her husband on grounds of domestic violence.

Career of Shweta Tiwari
Shweta Tiwari always wanted to be recognized as a very good dancer. Once in one of the dance competitions, she was offered to do a play named, Khoobsurat Bahu. That was the starting point of her acting career. She was offered two more plays Kirayedaar and Sardari Begum. There was no looking back for her after that. She got noticed by a renowned director and was offered her first chance in a television serial, titled Rishtey. Serial Karam was her first break from Balaji Telefilms. In that serial she portrayed a negative character. Ekta Kapoor offered her the lead role in Kasauti Zindagi Kay by seeing her potential.

In Nach Baliye-2 she proved that apart from brilliant acting she could also dance well. Besides these she had also done few commercials and a dance number with Daler Mehendi. Shweta Tiwari has done several films such as Madhoshi (2004), Abra ka Dabra (Hindi Film), Hamar Sayian Hindustani (2008), Kab Aibu Anganwa Hamar (2008), Ae Bhouji Ke Sister (2009), and Apni Boli Apna Des (Punjabi Film). While doing films, Shweta Tiwari simultaneously keeps in touch with small screen in order to maintain variety.
