Krutika Desai is one of those sensuous glam dolls who has
made her entry into the television circuit during the period of 1980s which is
known as the 'booming era' of the small screen. She is a Cancerian-Gemini casp
and is extremely emotional about her family. She was one of those early birds
who jumped into the television bandwagon and worked on several chartbusters of
the small screen including 'Hungama', 'Kismet', 'Zameen Aasman', 'Superhit
Muqabla', 'Chandrakanta', 'Mansi' and 'A Mouthful of Sky'. She has also acted
in two feature films, one in Hindi and the other one in Bengali. She had also
traveled as far as Israel in the year 2003 for an English crossover film.
Krutika Desai is one of those glamorous actresses who have
made her entry into the television circuit during the period of 1980s. She is
the daughter of noted stage personality Late Shri Girish Desai. She is married
to Imtiaz Khan the actor and director of the Hindi film & television scene.
He is the son of renowned Hindi film actor of the yester years, Jayant and the
brother of the late actor Amjad Khan.
Apart from serials she has also worked in movies. She acted
in Insaaf (1987) directed by Mukul Anand co starring Vinod Khanna, Dimple
Kapadia, Suresh Oberoi, Dalip Tahil, Shakti Kapoor and others. She also acted
in `Dattak` directed by Gul Bahar Singh and with Rajit Kapoor, Anjan Srivastav
& A.K. Hangal. The movie was produced by National Film Development
Corporation of India (NFDC). She also acted in `Apna Jahan`, which was written
and directed by Subroto Bose. She has also acted in a Bengali film titled
Dastak. Krutika has also worked in a Hebrew film titled `Turn Left at the End
of the World.` She won rave reviews for her commendable performance in the
movie. Krutika has earned name and fame in theatres also. She has acted in many
Gujrati plays like `Shodh Pratishodh`, `Pallavi Bani Parvati` and `To Karo
Shree Ganesh.` She did a theatre workshop `Akansha` for the street children.
