Sachdev started her career on stage doing plays with The Indian People's
Theatre Association at Prithvi. She went on to doing films winning the
Maharashtra State Government Award for Best Actress in her debut film
"Aaytya Gharat Gharoba" directed by Sachin. Her role in Shyam
Benegal's "Sardari Begum" got her the National Award for Best Actress
in a Supporting Role. She blazed the television screen in Margarita &
bagged the Screen Videocon Award for Best Actress. Rajeshwari's big break came
in the form of the Hollywood epic "Little Buddha" opposite Keanu
Reeves and directed by Bernado Bertolucci. Being a performing artist it was
only but natural that this ball of talent went on to explore new fields. With
13 years of training in Bharat Natyam, the only other field left to explore was
singing. As of 2004 she has three pop CDs; "Hulle Hullare",
"Mukhda Piya Ka" and "Ummang". Her father is Inderjit
Sachdev, an actor, too

upcoming singer Rajeshwari Sachdev is believed to be a myriad of talents. Her
father initiated her into the theater at a very young age and that inculcate
her a trait of working and hobnobbing with many renowned theater personalities.
She claimed in a recent interview "All My childhood evening were spent at
the theater". She started her career on stage doing plays with The Indian
People`s Theater Association at Prithvi Theater (IPTA) and then went onto do
films and also got the Maharshtra State Government Award for being the best
actress in her first film `Aatya Gharat Gharoba` which was directed by Sachin.
The gorgeous and very gifted actress got the offer to work in `Suraj Ka Satwan
Ghoda`, which was, accepted by her in a glad manner. It is since that time that
she never had to look back and was always showered with offers. She was soon
after seen in many offbeat films like `Tunnu Ki Tina` and `Sardari Begum`. She did
not however chose to be part of `masala films` as she was not really interested
in the `rat-race` of the Indian Film Industry. She did not also wish to be part
of the `bump-grind` routine. She also claimed that she mainly digs for roles of
substance. And she portrayed one such role in the renowned filmmaker Subhash
Ghai`s film `Rahul` which also starred the newcomer model-turned-actor Jatin
Grewal and the `Karib` girl Neha. She also blazed the television screen in the
venture titled `Margarita` and also bagged the Screen Videocon Award for Best
Actress. The major break in her career however came in the form of the
Hollywood epic `Little Buddha` opposite the heartthrob of Hollywood Keanu
Reaves, which was directed by the renowned persona Bernadi Bertolucci. Being a
ball of talents she went on to explore new fields in the following times. She
also underwent rigorous training in the art of Indian Dance Bharat Natyam.
