Mugdha Chapekar is very much excited after bagging the role of young Sanyogita and claims that she was the only one to get short-listed among the three girls who went to Baroda for the auditions. She is very happy to have been selected for a historical role, which has a lot of importance in the historical context as it is connected to the love saga of the great Indian monarch Prithviraj Chauhan and his beloved Sanyogita. She is also in high spirits the way her character developed in the hugely popular historical show. In the initial stages she was shown as quite bubbly and very naughty but the moment she realizes that she has fallen head over heels in love with Prithviraj she transforms into a matured princess. While mentioning about the stunts that she has performed in the soap Mugdha Chapekar claimed in a recent interview that the most memorable one is the one in which she had to immerse herself in water at 4 in the morning. Horse riding experience that she went through during the shoot of the serial also enthralled her.
Mugdha Chapekar also shares a great rapport with all her co-stars especially with Rajat Tokas who plays the lead character of Prithviraj Chauhan. In fact their pair together has won many hearts and in the prestigious award ceremony Star Parivaar Awards they have won the `Yogya Jodi 2007` award from the side of the viewers. This fact itself portrays how favorite they have become in the eyes of small screen viewers. Post her role in this serial she wants to concentrate wholly in her studies and wants to complete her post-graduation, as she loves the works of the famous playwright William Shakespeare. It is an obvious expectation from this young and brilliant actress that she will make her way to the top in the television industry very soon.
